Norah Duncan IV

Founder, Artistic Director and Vice President

Norah Duncan IV is Professor and former Chair of the Department of Music at Wayne State University. He is also the Area Coordinator for Organ Performance. Additionally, he has directed the WSU Concert Chorale and has coordinated many of the choral concerts presented by the Department of Music.

Duncan received an undergraduate degree (English Literature) from the University of Detroit, a Master of Fine Arts degree (Organ Performance) from Wayne State University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts (Church Music/Organ Performance) degree from the University of Michigan.

Currently, Duncan is the recipient of Wayne State University’s Murray E. Jackson University Creative Scholar in the Arts Award for 2024-25 academic school year. An initiative that showcases exceptional faculty talent in the traditional performing, creative and visual arts, as well as more nontraditional arts, in pursuit of the university’s missions.
